Seems the update doesn't go through...instead this warning message appears:

"An error occurred while downloading the update. Please try again later."

And, of course, "later" never comes...so a telephone call's in order—
let's hope that helps.

You need to go to their site and download a file named "TechTool Pro 5 Patch". This fixes the auto update problem you describe. Worked for me for the new version just today!

Could you tell us where this file - Tech Tool Patch - is located on their website? I can't find it and am getting the same error trying to update to 5.0.6 as described above.
