I’ve been using this product since Sticky Brain days. There have been a few versions that were less than desirable in terms of speed and stability. Version 8, with a new database engine (no more Open Base) is considerably faster, especially when accessing data from FlashNote, one of the best features of this product (you can access all notes from a menu item while the main app isn’t running). In V6 and V7, it was dog slow. I switched to EverNote which I do really like but I missed the ability to access data when the app wasn’t running via a menu. If you’ve been happy with SOHO notes but found the last two versions iffy and slow, and you want to continue with this product, I think the upgrade is worthwhile.
