Existing users, 
It tries to write to "/Library/" (bad choice IMHO, should be ~/Library) and as I am not an administrator, it fails without prompting "you must be authenticated" kind of window.
CNET, I hope you don't use Windows developers for this. Also, still dreaming Mac users will like/use download.com ? Hope not.
