Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

I guess Apple never thought of it... They do a lame "I am installed" trick when final screen appears as they get the "payware" ads from remote server, by abusing installer.app in a way that never seen before.

So, final screen also serves them as "I am installed" phone call.

I now have very serious concerns about using their professional products if ever needed, the company looks like completely infested by MS mind lately. They weren't like this before.

A little knowledge is a bad thing. - xjja

They are not abusing Apple's Installer. Apple has offered the option of retrieving internet content in Installer.app for years. Just because you've never seen it before doesn't mean it's dodgy or your so-called "abuse". There's a fricking public API for it for frick's sake.

I said it to someone else before and I'll say it to you: Learn and think before you speak. Because you don't know what you're talking about; just leaping straight to paranoia and bypassing reasoned thought.

WTF is up with all the people mainlining the KoolAid today?
