Doesn't work with Microsoft Intellimouse - R. Lynn Rardin
I wanted to add to my previous comment that I received a response in about 30 minutes after reporting my problem to him. I don't have a solution yet, but there's no doubt that ALM is a developer who cares about his customers.Thursday, September 17 2009 @ 04:49 AM PDT

I've used this program for years with this Intellimouse (and others) with no problems. v 3.0 doesn't recognize the buttons. It just doesn't do a thing.Thursday, September 17 2009 @ 07:34 AM PDT

I was wrong, it DOES work. Turns out Steermouse left an extension behind. The developer told me where to look and I removed it.My trusty old USBOD is working again! Woot!

How is it failing? I'm having no luck getting it to work with a Logitech Optical Mouse, but the machine on which I tested it is a real hack job (Power Mac 7300+Sonnet Crescendo/PCI G4+Sonnet Tempo Trio running OS X 10.4.11), so I don't want to be too quick to blame the new version of USBO. On the other hand, USBO 10.4.8 was working ok on this machine. After installing USBO 3.0, I booted the machine and the mouse seemed to be dead (cursor frozen). I connected an additional Logitech Optical Mouse and both mice came to life. When I opened the USBO control panel, however, the status indicated that it wasn't controlling either of the mice. I uninstalled USBO 3.0, reinstalled 10.4.8 and things returned to normal. I tried 3.0 again after uninstalling 10.4.8 and hiding the 10.4.8 preference files, but the system behaved similarly.Reply to This
