Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Recommend Product: NO

... are disingenuous and over-simplified. 64-bit does NOT result in your Mac being "faster across the board". To say so is misleading. Or demonstrates a lack of understanding.

[ I know, you people who insist you need (ie: want) K64 will flame me for pointing out facts. Flame on. But it doesn't make you right, or me wrong. ]

Well mos operations feel faster to me! - kernos

Perhaps not all or "across the board", but nearly all of my work flows are faster in the 64-bit kernal. EG, Photoshop opens several dozen JPGs almost as fast as GraphicConverter in 64-bit, but is as slow as ever in 32-bit, even though it is a 32-bit program.

He's right. K64 is just another Apple marketing ploy - Sooth Sayer

... like they advertised PowerPC computers as 'super computer on your desktop". Nonsense. Every one now knows that was completely untrue.

And now we have K64, the new 'must have' ...

64 bit does offer improved performance in some specific circumstances, but to imply that everything on your Mac will run faster because of a 64 bit kernel is absolute BS. But then, that's marketing for you!
