Versiontracker indicates this update has not been applied even though it has.
It seems the Microsoft updater does not change the version in the Finder when this update is applied. Finder Get Info still shows 12.2.0 as version, but "About Word" in Word application says last applied update is 12.2.1 and "Check for Updates" says application is up to date.
Microsoft Office 2008
Entourage, PowerPoint, Excel, Word suite.
Version: 12.2.3
12.2.1 update leaves Finder version at 12.2.0

12.2.1 update leaves Finder version at 12.2.0 - kenm22
A restart should solve your problem.Tuesday, November 10 2009 @ 11:44 AM PST
Yes. That's correct. - versiontracker2007
The 12.2.1 update does not update the applications themselves. It only updates some support files, and so it doesn't make sense to update the apps if they're not actually changing. Restarting or relaunching Finder won't change this, because THE APPS AREN'T CHANGED.If you opened the applications and looked in the About window, you'd see that the 12.2.1 update is recognized as an "Installed Update" independent of the app version.

Have the same problem. Maybe Version Tracker could correct this on their end. It's annoying to see on Version Tracker that there is an update available when it's already been downloaded.Reply to This
