I've had to cease using DTP on Snow Leopard since it crashes not long after opening it. Just a heads up for anyone reliant on DTP who's also considering upgrading to 10.6.

Crashes a lot on Snow Leopard - wbdeville

I certainly have not experienced crashes under Snow Leopard myself, using my own databases that contain many tens of thousands of references and notes.

In my work doing support for users of the DEVONthink applications, I do see reports of crashes by some users. The vast majority of crashes seem to be the result of an unstable operating system traceable to utilities that 'hack' the operating system and cause errors. It's instructive to see how often such crashes or other flaky behavior disappear when the user runs DEVONthink from a Guest account, which eliminates problems resulting from error-causing extensions that had been installed in the User account.
