Interesting that the program that you use to keep your software up-to-date isn't up-to-date. Freezes after a few minutes under Snow Leopard every time. They never even fixed it's abliity to determine version numbers for programs that run under Classic.

Needs to run under Snow Leopard - X-caiver

Works fine for me...I have Snow Leopard on my Mac Pro and have no problems downloading updates. I've even left VTPro running for a few days without quitting nad it worked fine.

I do see a couple 'false positives' (saying an application is out of date, but actually listing two copies of the app one that is old and one that is current, even when only 1 actually exists on my drive) but none of these crashes/hangs/inability-to-DL that others are mentioning
