Existing users, 
iTunes is STILL not 64-bit, and somehow the installer deleted all previous iPhone OS versions I had in my /Users/username/Library/iTunes/iPhone\ Software\ Updates folder!
Surprisingly, we still can't sync and do iPhone updates wirelessly, unlike the Palm Pre...

I am pretty sure that Apple won't move iTunes to 64-bit because 1) it wouldn't improve performance much, and more importantly 2) it would really complicate development of the Windows version. While a modern Mac can run apps in 32 and 64 bit modes, Windows users are stuck with an OS that is one or the other. Since the majority of iTunes users are stuck with Windows, the smart thing is to stick with 32 bits for now - just like the Windows world, which will be effectively stuck there for several more years.Wednesday, September 09 2009 @ 12:40 PM PDT

iPhone can't sync wirelessly? That is not correct. Wireless data syncing (Calendars, Address Book, Bookmarks, etc.) has been around for some time on the iPhone for all users with a MobileMe account, which also syncs data to all your computers., It also syncs both ways, so both iPhone and computer data are always up-to-date... no typing new contact information in twice.Reply to This
