I triggered the update from the application's Help menu. However, the "get new update" application didn't like the fact that on my machine ~/Downloads is an alias to a folder located elsewhere, so I had to manually select the download location. (Since I'm running File Vault, I locate my Downloads folder in a location that is not encrypted.)
