Existing users, 
Even with all of the incredibly negative feedback regarding their updater they had the _____ to email me stating that only a few users have had trouble!!!
With their declaration therefore that of course it must be me and others with something else that is installed that must be causing the problem they explained to 'simple me' how to use their crippled updater (as most of the people that have posted here have noted). And yet again after approximately an hour trying-and-trying... it still doesn't work!
The day another app offers a similar feature I'm done with Alsoft.

Still can't get their _________ updater to work! - graphixp--2008
?!? Am I missing something? On Alsoft's website it says that version 4.2 is only available on a DVD.There is an updater for versions earlier than ver. 4.2 though... up to 4.1 I think. Are you and everybody else just trying to use this updater to get 4.2. to work?... and how the heck did you get 4.2?
