Nice idea, doesn't work in real life

The idea of tweets scrolling in a ticker in your menubar sounds nice, until you try and read the text whizzing by or have an application that actually needs the wide menubar real estate this takes up. Twitteriffic still wins, in that it only takes an icon in my menubar. While I can't read them in a ticker with Twitteriffic, I think the nausea I felt during the Twit Menulet trial indicates that might not be such a bad thing.

For those who do like this app, though, check out the offer on the developer's page to trade links for a free activation. It's a nice idea.

Click "Show icon only" in the preferences - Phil Chignon

Thanks for the feedback! (I am one of the developers.) Menu bar real estate is indeed precious.

Just so you know, there is a preference item that hides the scrolling text. Choose "Preferences..." from the main menu and check the box labeled "Show icon only".

Best wishes,

Phil
