Because in general it's not VT's responsibility to decide what information to show on the page about a given release and scrape it together. The developer provides that information.

Couple rebuttals:

1. The app shows up in bold blue...a priority application...VT should be placing increased increased emphasis on it by definition.

2. Release notes are prominent on the developer's page...not difficult for a VT staffer to cut 'n paste the info...again, this is a bold-blue application which puts it in a different category from the majority of shareware apps.
