Also I have been using Intego's VirusBarrier for several years.
For some days ago I uninstalled the software.
Miraculous what a fast Mac I suddenly have.
For the coming time I will rely on Leopard Cache Cleaner's Virus Scanner.
VirusBarrier? No thanks.

There is one big problem with ClamXav. It has very few OS X malware definitions. The Clam team doesn't update OS X malware for ages.

Intego is the gold standard for Mac anti-malware. Clam is about the worst AV for Mac out there. At least run PCTools iAntivirus. if you are Intel based.
