I haven't seen any of the issues people are having on three different Macs at home.
Safari is an application. It wont cause directory corruption or any other problems.
If you are having lockups, see if you have installed some third party add ons to Safari, and then try removing them. That will likely be your problem.
Wait until that developer updates the add on.
Safari is much faster than the latest Firefox on this 8 year old (updated CPU) Mac.

Apple said at WWDC 2009 that Safari had implemented some sort of feature that could isolate plug-in BS similar to something Google Chrome apparently does. So how is this now the user's issue after that sort of explanation?Reply to This
