The only flakiness I had after this update was a strange slowdown in quicktime/video, but a PRAM zap fixed that. I also repaired permissions after this one.
It also disabled 1Password plugin in Safari, but updating 1Password fixed that.
I don't think the update is bad, but it's the most finicky in a long long time. Most of the Leopard updates have been pretty trouble-free.
Things to try if you're having problems:
1) Always use the Combo updater for point updates
2) Repair permissions
2) Zap PRAM, seems especially important with this particular update.

yes.I thought that I should have also added two options to my list below
a. zapping pram
b. in terminal: $: sudo update_prebinding -debug -root / -force [return]
