Of course, a tool which has NO real life usage beyond couple of bribed media will be "editors pick" on CNET owned Versiontacker.

CNET picks it - griff--2008
It is comments like the above that could land people in very hot water. Before posting comments like this, I would make very sure you have evidence to back up the statement that CNET in fact does take bribes or it could be considered by CNET as actionable. The fact that CNET probably won't go after the author of this statement doesn't mean that the author wouldn't be held liable, just that such action isn't worth the aggravation. Come on folks, the Internet is not longer quite the safe place it used to be back in the day. You can now be held accountable for things you write and post.Just a small appeal for sanity...

CNET picks it - stam
Being held accountable would be a genuine concern if this was a matter of any significance and if the original author didn't have a point: "Editor's picks", highlighted in the list of software, should not include apps that only the vast minority of mac users would ever be interested in, at least if not earth-shattering. Which this software is decidedly not, unless you are an MS fanatic.Saturday, August 08 2009 @ 07:24 PM PDT
CNET picks it - Robert Welch
Is it true that VersionTracker takes bribes to include software on its Editor Picks list? If so, it has rendered the list completely irrelevant as a guide to quality software and should just state that the list is paid ads.The Mac community needs an honest Mac update program like the one that VersionTracker used to be.
