Hangs during the AU validation process in Logic 9 and must be aborted. Of note, although the lead description ("A new kind of musical instrument") might lead you to believe this is an AU Instrument, it isn't. It is an AU Effect. If it were me, I'd change the copy to read: "A new kind of musical effect".

It appears that Logic simply uses the systemwide auval tool to verify AU's, the same tool I have been using. It takes a couple minutes to validate on my computer (2008 Macbook Pro), have you let it run this long in Logic?Monday, August 10 2009 @ 08:02 AM PDT

I don't have a copy of logic 9 to test with, but the light guitar AU does pass AU validation using Apple's command line tool.The software is an AU effect, but the effect is the sound of a musical instrument.
