I have not checked on other mime types yet, but its inability to handle PDF (or at least give you the option to send PDF-files to Skim), makes it pretty useless.
For the moment I'll stick with Safari.
In addition, Java (which works fine on Safari and Firefox) does not work either
and neither does Flash.
