I thought this was coming with this update to Office 08, but maybe I misunderstood and we'll have to wait for something like Office 10???

Anyway, that deficiency substantially impairs the utility of Office 08, since I get a lot of stuff that has VB-based stuff in it. It makes compatibility/interoperability with Windows versions of Office a lot more difficult. (The only reason I moved off of Office 04 was that I got a -really good deal- on my copy.) The speed performances do not make up for the functional deficiencies, and the mostly gratuitous user interface changes are annoying.

What remains to be seen is whether this release fixes the occasional crash when I try to read a Windows Office file. When that happened in earlier versions of Office 08, I'd just open the file with NeoOffice.

Overall Office 08 has a better user interface than NeoOffice, but not enough to justify the price differential :-).
