New 12.2.0 updates fine for Word and Excel. Entourage crashes when deleting files or displaying picture. Very, very flakey. Had no problem with Entourage with previous Office 12.1.9 update. Seems to be related to any graphically intense email.

Have you tried the usual suspects to fix Entourage issues? This means doing an Entourage database rebuild (hold option while starting up Entourage) and/or dumping the Entourage preferences (although this mainly fixes authentication issues)...Just trying to help! :-)

Problems with Entourage 12.2.0 - cdmagfox
I have the same problem with Entourage after installing the 12.2 update; it crashes immediately as soon as the splash screen appears - repeatedly, and after restart. Word, Excel and PowerPoint all open normally, but Entourage crashes on take-off. My only solution is to revert back to Office 12.1.9 - luckily I retained a backup!Reply to This
