They make every update as difficult as possible under the name of anti-piracy (what about other companies ?) and to sell their update bundle service. No user feedback ever change this stupid mentality.

Techtool Pro does not performance its tasks very well either, file defragmenter does not defrag drive completely yet still produce perfect result in report (verified with other defragmenters). It also hogs too much of resources for system protection.

Just back up your entire system with anyone of many backup software (or free Time Machine) in the market right now to external firewire drive or Time Capsule and remove TechTool Pro from your system for good. Restoration of whole system from backup has not been a problem so far.

I regretted upgrade from version 4 to version 5.
