On the developer's site it claims to be FREE.

Why is labelled shareware? - WhiteDog

The Version Tracker information has not been updated - as is often the case - to reflect the current state of affairs. According to the review this week on Macworld, Cameras is now free, perhaps because some of its features, at least, are rumored to be implemented in Snow Leopard. I'm not sure why that would move the developer to cut the price - Snow Leopard won't be out for some months yet and it will certainly be years before it's the dominant version of OS X, especially given that it won't run on PPC Macs. So Cameras could have remained profitable for some time yet. Still, I installed it and there is no nag to pay for it.
