Synergy is the name of a well known program to share mouse and keyboard between different computers and/or operating systems: http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/

Calling this program Synergy as well will just cause confusion.

poor naming choice - iayork

There is a long, long discussion on this in previous comments. Summary: Both apps have been around for a long, long time, and no one is confused.

poor naming choice - Deacon Blue

Probably not intentional since both products were released within 6 months of each other. Synergy (computer control software) was released in August 2002. Synergy (iTunes menu bar controller) was released in February 2003.

I have been using Synergy (iTunes controller) since v1.0 and have been waiting for the latest 3.5.2 release to replace my oder version for a while. I am glad I have the chance to update the app and look forward to the fixes.

It has been giving me great service, including the Album Art 'floating windoid' for as long as iTunes has supported artwork and added back a bit of that "LP" feel to listing to songs on a computer.

A good product. Thanks Wincent!
