If it's a beta, it should not cost users to basically beta test--it should be free for the duration of testing.
I've never paid to beta test anything. Ever. If anything, the beta testers are part of the development process.
If it's freeware, it should be free.
If you charge for it, it is not a beta--IT IS SHAREWARE.
VERY DECEPTIVE AND NOT ETHICAL.

WHY IS THIS CALLED A BETA? - lostinspace2011--2008
This particular release which you commented was designated as BETA. There are stable release available. However we continuously add new features and for initial brief period immediately following the release we designate the releases as BETA to make it clear to our customers that the a particular build may have certain problems.Why not try the product out before commenting on it and giving it such a poor rating. Just because you not happy with the way one release was presented doesn't mean the product does not work.
