I like the idea of this program but it doesn't know what time it is on my computer. It constantly reports a 0 minute work period. It also thinks the time is always 6:15pm???

Have you run it more than once (separated by at least 15 minutes), or let it run for more than 15 minutes at one time? As I stated in the description, it has the option to round to the nearest 15 minutes. This option is enabled by default. You can turn this off if you want, but otherwise it will show 18:15 from 6:08:00pm to 6:22:59pm.At no point in the program did I define any specific time, so unless it is getting it from your computer, I have no idea how it could possibly get stuck. Actually, if it couldn't get the time from your computer, I would think it would either a) show 00:00 or b) crash. Is the time separator blinking? If so, it is updating. Drop me an e-mail if you continue having problems. ibrewster@alaska.net I'd be very happy to work with you to resolve any issues you might have.
Also keep in mind this is the initial release, so perhaps you are looking to use it in a way I hadn't thought about - for example, it calculates all times in hours. For tracking shorter tasks, this might not work. If people want, I could put in an option to change that - perhaps calculate in minutes rather than hours. But I need feedback first :-)
