Filezilla's only problem is that it's interface is ugly, poor and sometimes quite difficult. Perhaps to win95-like. Yet, under that interface there is an application that is rock solid and very feature rich, for free!
If you can live with the ugly interface, then Filezilla is the tool you should use when doing FTP, SFTP or whatever file transfer option you're doing. It's fast, reliable and works great with batches of processes and arcane settings.
As an example it's the only tool I found that can batch process file permissions on subfolders and files separately or not, a life saver for me when a few thousands folders had their permissions corrupted in my server...
So, though it's ugly, it's free, it can do everything any other FTP apps can (an then some more) and it's stable like a rock.

Your comments for Filezilla remind me of the comments people post about GraphicsConverter: outstanding program but needs a facelift...I'll stick with Forklift because if I wanted function over form I'd be using Windows or Linux.
