Safari 4.0 running on Intel Core Duo laptop 10.4.11... crashes immediately when launched. Repaired permissions before and after. Installed twice with same results. Cannot figure out what is wrong. Tried to find previous version of Safari to download and reinstall... but no luck. Could not find any details on this or how to fix on MacFixit. Help??

Immediate Crash - realdiamond

Back up and remove any internet extras or modifications done that could effect safari:
Input managers.
extra preferences for safari.
Any password managers.
Any download apps.
any thing that is internet connected app that was released before this version of safari.
even Internet plug ins. back them up then remove them, restart and try safari again. if it works add stuff back untill it fails then send a note to the developer of that app to get to work on bug fix for the conflict.

Immediate Crash - tfd330

Was having same problem.

As a last resort I removed the LCC Scroll Enhancer Loader (a Logitec control panel piece) from the Input Manager folder and it launched with no problems.
