This seems like a very handy utility for web designers. I just used it on a 592kb .png file and it was compressed to 388 kb without any visible artifacts. Speed is not really (Quadcore/6GB) fast but nevertheless the tool works great and does what it says.

I saved all png files with Photoshop. Its already optimized. No chance to get it smaller with PNGpress.Tuesday, June 09 2009 @ 11:22 AM PDT

Sometimes it's not possible to further optimize PNG images. That is a good thing. However, not everyone uses Photoshop, and sometimes even Photoshop exports can be optimized more.Saturday, June 13 2009 @ 09:38 PM PDT

Thanks, edia. I'm going to be recompiling this with some speed optimizations very soon. Hope you'll stick around.Reply to This
