What happened???

Feedback Type:  Review

Contributed by: MarkusWinter Sunday, May 24 2009 @ 11:51 AM PDT

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

I used version 1.5.2 without problems. Then I upgraded to 1.6.1 - the speed dropped by 50%.

So I went back to 1.5.2 - speed was back up but now newly added torrents don't download. I need to quit 1.5.2, start 1.6.1, quit 1.6.1, start 1.5.2 to get newly added torrents to start.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS.

Transmission was a good program - what happened????

Simply trash your prefs and go back to the 1.52, or whatever works for you.

If you don't even know how to do this you should not be downloading torrents.

it works fine to me, the best, easiest client out there for mac.

What happened??? - brillianttrash

Sounds more like a settings problem than a program deficiency. I've been upgrading to newer and new versions of Transmission for the 4 years I've been a loyal user. Switching between versions and not checking settings or getting support via the forums? I've found the forums to be very helpful in answering questions and fixing problems I've had with Transmission.

And like most problems with a well rated application like Transmission - they tend to be user based problems. All the problems I've encountered with Transmission have been setting based and solved after a few helpful minutes looking through their support forums.
