If you can’t find a file, but you know, it’s on the drive, this comes in handy. I have used FileBuddy very well for this (but it has other uses as well) and I haven’t found any program as fast as FileBuddy, until now with Find Any File. And it is fast. It lets you open the file right away or with a key-combo. I’m sure many users would welcome this program in the cases where spotlight (which I also use) will not rightfully show a certain file.
