I have depended on Dictate for all my typing for perhaps a year now. It has got better and better. With version 1.5, I encountered major problems; technical support were helpful and we eventually discovered that Dictate will not run correctly unless a US English profile exists (fortunately, it does not have to be trained). I had to delete my old profile and start afresh. On the bright side, recognition is better with version 1.5 than with the former version, even with a brand-new profile. So I am happy with version 1.5, but non-US customers might want to wait until they release a patch.

I dictated all of the above with no manual correction whatever. Colleagues are regularly impressed with the lengthy reports I can produce using speech recognition.
