I now regret sending the developer my money to upgrade to Version Three. It appears to be vaporware.

REGRETS - Soren0

I think you are mistaken. 3.0 is definitely coming. See the following from the developer:

I paid the upgrade fee for 3.0 - dteare
How did you pay for the 3.0 upgrade? We're not selling upgrades yet :) I'm guessing you mean the "free upgrade to 3.0" message on the store. Since 3.0 is coming "soon", we don't want people waiting until its release, so we changed the online store to give a free upgrade to version 3 for each new purchase.

While we are now giving out free upgrades to new purchases, we have not announced the release date of 3.0 yet because we want to be 100% certain we deliver it on time. To ensure we have time to complete 3.0 (and maybe even have time for a week off to enjoy the summer), I will not be any more specific then saying "by the end of the year" :)

Cheers!

Soren0 is correct, version 3.0 is definitely coming :)

We haven't started selling 3.0 yet and we have not promised any release dates, so I'm not sure why you think it is overdue/vaporware. We did indeed change the store to give free upgrades to 3.0 because we wanted to be fair to people who purchase 1Password close to the release date, .

The most details I can give on 3.0's release date is that it will be later this year. We have started limited Alpha testing already, and once we get a large beta testing group up and running, I'll be able to give a more exact date.

Cheers!
