It was working before this update. Now it doesn't. Deleting com.apple.systemsound.plist and restarting does not help. The iSub does not show up in the Sound preference pane either. ;- {

Fix for iSub - joinerm
I found a fix. Look for the file System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBAudio.kext which is version 2.6.4 under 10.5.7 PPC, and replace it with the same file from a 10.5.6 PPC install which is version 2.5.8. Before replacing, you MUST note the permissions settings of the 10.5.7 file, and use Super Get Info to set the permissions of the replacement 10.5.6 file after installing. Then restart, and iSub works again. Of course, reverting back to this previous version of AppleUSBAudio.kext might break something else, but at least iSub is restored until hopefully Apple correct this issue in 10.5.8.Saturday, May 16 2009 @ 01:09 PM PDT

No, so far as I am aware iSub will NOT work at all on Intel. This fix will only work for PPC.Friday, May 22 2009 @ 07:30 AM PDT

I can confirm. iSub worked perfectly under 10.5.6 PPC, now it doesn't under 10.5.7 PPC and the iSub control no longer appears in the Sound pref pane. C'mon Apple, did you just leave out the driver from 10.5.7? There are still loads of us iSub users out here, don't leave us with a piece of dead gear.Reply to This
