Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Some people don't like the three hour refresh but there is a very easy way around that... PAY FOR THE SOFTWARE. This happens when the user inputs a pirated serial number or the demo has expired. No problems at all with my legal version. It is a truly versatile and easily configured firewall that is worth much more then they are charging for it. Highly recommended.

YES It's a FIREWALL! A 'Reverse' Firewall - zunipus

This is what regular firewalls do: They keep stuff from entering into your computer according to how they are configured. They are computer port filters.

This is what a 'reverse' firewall does: It stops stuff from getting OUT of your computer. It is an application filter AND a reverse port filter. The result is that nothing 'phones home' unless you specifically allow it. It stops all zombie or spyware apps on a computer dead in their tracks.

Neither type of firewall is sufficient IMHO. You require BOTH in order to have adequate security. This past month a Mac botnet was established thanks to a couple Trojans that install with pirateware. No Mac running Little Snitch could participate in the botnet unless you specifically allowed it. No zombie Macs allowed!
