It's a very nice widget, but I agree with most of the criticisms here, especially that it doesn't clearly and obviously show networks that are open. That's a pretty big problem because, after showing my own network broadcast strength, its most important function for me is searching for open, unprotected networks when I'm out on the road with my MacBook. It could use an update.
