Need New Feedback

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

We need new feedback here on recent releases. Does anyone have helpful information about the latest Fireworks? I use Photoshop and Flash instead, chiefly for web work these days, and would like to know if recent releases, in your opinion, merit spending time to learn Fireworks.
Thanks!

Indispensable web design tool - macomaniac8754

This program is created for web design and prototyping. It's very efficient in laying out web design compared to the common program Photoshop. Fireworks can crate objects and manipulate drawing objects in simples tasks which may take Photoshop many steps to accomplish the same.

Fireworks is like Illustrator and Photoshop combined. The powerful characteristic of this program is that is can handle vector and raster files very easily.

Drawing a square with roundness at any point is achievable infinitely without having to undo or deleting. Just enter the roundness amount and done. Try doing this in Photoshop.

Another is a line drawing. Fireworks can draw lines in vector. So changing thickness is a breeze. Try doing this in Photoshop.

You can draw any line shapes and export as EPS or illustrator format.

This program is indispensable when it comes to web prototyping & design layout.

Fireworks Update - +_mike

The release version of Fireworks was, as you may have heard, miserable. However, the update mostly works. What I mean by this is that the program is 99% stable, and I use it now 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Once you learn fireworks, you will not want to return to other web design programs. period.

Need New Feedback - animator

OK, I'll give it more of a try. I've been using Photoshop for 20 years (or so) and Flash for nearly 10, but I'm always ready to use a tool more suited to the job. (And nowadays, that job includes a lot of web work.)

Thanks for the info!
