.. but it looks like this is one of the many amateur projects which will never come out of beta-status. Not just because of the amusing version numbering (whats next V0.9.9.9.9b ?) but because since about V0.8.6 it has become more and more unstable, crashes with several non-QT-compatible codecs and I still have a problem with some files to set the audio volume, either too low or too loud...

I use it occasionally for some exotic video files but QuickTime+Perian is good for 98% of multimedia content for me.

Why concerned with the version number. It is logically consistent. Your suggesting 0.9.9.9.9b is not a natural progression. It would be simply 0.9.9b. Think you are being a little picky?

Emilia, if they ever released version 1.0, that would signal the end of the world, and none of us want to see THAT happen! LOL

@getittowork: I think you're the one being picky, Emilia was merely poking fun at the ridicules numbering of the releases, to emphasize how bogged down this player is, in an infinite beta loop.

Hehe...I think we all know what "exotic video files" you're referring to...;)
