Well, the 6.x version was free, and 7.5 is $400 for 1 license, even though it's pretty much the same as 6.x. It's a fairly simple SQL query tool - there are plenty a lot more complex tools out there for Windows, for example, which are _free_. There aren't as many for Mac OS X, unfortunately, but that definitely does not justify the price tag.
The 7.5 suffers from most of the same issues as the 6.5: it's fat and slow (as you'd expect from a Java app), and many of the standard Mac OS X keyboard shortcuts do not work (close window for example). Beyond that - it's just a SQL query tool. And it's about 10 times more expensive than it should be.

Not so simple - L Peting
Although I can't deny the price seems high, Aqua Data Studio is a lot more than a simple SQL query tool. It has many visual editors, compares schema between databases, diagrams databases, etc. If you can tell me a free or cheap program that does all that Aqua Data Studio does, I'd love to know its name.Reply to This
