I've used this for a few months now, and finally disabled it yesterday.
While I like the concept, and many of the images are nice, it was causing too many performance issues on my 2.3GHz G5 Tower. Every time the program launched, a process called "System Events" would take off, and use 50-80% of my CPU. I could quit the process and everything would work okay, but I still would get regular processor spikes as shown by iStat menus.
The other day, the program stopped working completely. It wouldn't load new images, and the menu item was hanging. I trashed prefs and reinstalled. No help. So I turned it off. My computer is running noticeably more smoothly. Perhaps on an Intel machine, these problems would be less prominent.
I've sent a couple of emails to the developer using the form on their site, but have never heard a response.
If they could iron out these problems, I'll give it another chance. Like I said, I like the concept.
