Just wanted to clarify: Graphic Inspector isn't just a tool to "to get more info about image files". $60 would be an excessive price for such a tool indeed. Graphic Inspector provides info about both image and vector files and reports important attributes which no other tools of its kind report, for example: fonts in vector files (embedded and regular), spot colors in both vector and raster files, EPS and TIFF compression etc. And it provides the ability to flag files with unwanted attributes using Checkup Presets.
Graphic Inspector targets professional users - mostly in print/prepress environment at this point. Graphic Inspector can be definitely an overkill for some users in which case its price isn't justified for their line of work indeed and some simpler and cheaper tools should be used. Graphic Inspector is just not such a tool.
Thanks,
