Existing users, 
The Office 2008 12.1.7 Update (at least the version downloaded from Microsoft's web site - I didn't try the version offered via AutoUpdate) leaves 493 MB worth of receipts in /Library/Receipts!
Most of the receipts are of a size in line with previous updates, but four of them are bizarrely huge:
Office2008_en_core_12.1.7.combo.pkg: 262.6 MB
Office2008_en_entourage_12.1.7.combo.pkg: 61.6 MB
Office2008_en_excel_12.1.7.combo.pkg: 82.1 MB
Office2008_en_word_12.1.7.combo.pkg: 86.2 MB
Microsoft Office 2008
Entourage, PowerPoint, Excel, Word suite.
Version: 12.2.3
Update installs 493 MB worth of receipts!

I'm having exactly the same problem after installing the update downloaded from MS web site. Is there any way I can remove or reduce the size of these files? I would appreciate if somebody not having this problem sends me his receipts to replace those unbelievably huge files... Is this a feasible way to solve the problem?
