What's new in this version:
Better Internet Explorer support
I didn't think you could run Internet Explorer in the Mac OS X anymore or why would you want too. Why would Transmission then support it in the Mac OS X???
I haven't got Internet Explorer to work in years.
Just wondering....
To me, Vuze, still does a better job of getting more seeders and my download stays higher (bitrate) & faster. I have done comparisons between the 2 apps with same torrent to see the difference.
Transmission
Tweakable BitTorrent client.

Internet Explorer Support ? For Mac OS X ??? - Beatrice1955
Transmission is good for the novice but Vuze is the ultimate when used in the classic user interface. Not only is it FAST, you can set it up to perform too your specific needs.
Incredibly versatile with a vast array plugins available. The 3D View of the swarm is just fantastic. You can see immediately if the complete file is available and how many are seeding.
You can load in your own ip filter list. In short YOU have complete control.
I used Transmission for a long time and I just got used too leaving it running for long periods downloading over days. But with Vuze my files are downloaded overnight. 3G no problems.
I hope that Transmission continues to be developed but at the moment nothing comes close to Vuze.
Don't believe me? Then try it!

The web ui is a feature to access Transmission when you're not at your Mac. If you're on Windows and want to access that session of Transmission, there is a good chance that you'll be using Internet Explorer.Reply to This
