Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

While it appears to do as it says, it's absurdly slow. Sure, brute-force attacks take time, but this product only uses a single core. So doesn't matter if you have 2 CPUs, 8 cores or whatever -- it chugs along using only one, and then further wastes resources by continually updating a useless progress indicator letting you know the last random password that was tried. As you can imagine, that's a lot of window updating.

And I do mean slow: I used a 9 character password with 1 special character and it's been running for nearly 2 days and is only at 7 character passwords. Still has to complete 7 characters (probably about 1.5 days till that), then start 8 characters and finally, 9. I estimate about 9 days total.
