Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

Sloppy update though: on opening videos my timeline indicator bar is still in opening mode, that is no indicator scrolls through the bar, no timecode is running. Furthermore I swung by their forums and asked for a feature to have a fullscreen "curtain" but a fixed scaling factor like Apple's QT-player is capable of. The response was kinda: "oh, that's possible" - and after some time: "only in the windows-version; ask the Mac-guys." Strangely this answer came from a tecchie quite busy in the Mac-area of their board too... I didn't get it. But this release is not bringing this feature, has some glitches as well in the video-playback itself so: sorry, I did a roll-back to 0.98a.

slop,

No need to give the program a 3 star rating just because there is a few bugs in an update?

First of all, the program is free. Second you went back to 9.8 and it seems to work fine for you.

I could see a 3 star if the prog was junk, but it's not junk. It will do so many things, and it's free.

it's always the cheap people that complain. Your not cheap that's why I think you will Paypal the developers some coin, then I bet they will add the features you want.

First of all: that 3-star rating is an average of all the different ratings I gave on VLC. If you check you will see the differences.
Second: where do you want to know how cheap or not I am? Is it like you have to pay to complain? Isn't it like you are mixing-up feedback with complain here?
And third: a junk-programm deserves no star at all - what's the point of having a gradation in stars if everything with three stars or less is junk?

I agree. The number of stars is the reviewer's call and it's not as though this was a rant--problems were cited. The review cited legitimate issues and on that basis, I didn't update.
I'm also not a fanboy fan.
