sideNote is one of the top most useful utilities in the Mac universe. Seriously. For those who believe likewise, please add feedback to the shameful rip-off of this free utility called SlidePad. It is infinitely perplexing why that developer would so shamefully rip off sideNote and then have the gall to charge $20 for it.

PLEASE SUPPORT THIS WONDERFUL UTILITY! - tommmyboy_sf

oh that other app is god awful too. sidenote was so attractive already but the killer feature for me is it never goes a sliver above 12 mb ram - at times, i've had 15 notes, all very lengthy, I am always forever dragging .png and .jpgs in for safe keeping... it being hidden is really indicative how exactly how unobtrusive in so many ways.

that other app, however, had already eaten 20 mb and I hadnt even put any notes in it yet.

I wrote them a letter telling them exactly what I thought of their app and its $20 shareware fee. And they had the nerve to respond to it!!!

The thing that irritates me is that it probably sells a lot because it's listed in the Apple Store. Or at least it was for a time. Apple's made some bad decisions on products to include there sometimes... there was this really cool password program called SharedSecrets that I thought was awesome - it was the lightest of the light on memory and the developer had made implications that it would be further developed. Well lots of time passes and nada... and I had about 200 records stored in the file and no export out.
