I have been using Carbon Copy Cloner for several years, ever since I saw a presentation at MacWorld. The only problem I have ever had with it was version 3.1.3 generating an error when cloning certain locked folders, folders which are not normally locked but which I had locked for a special reason. Apparently this is an very obscure error. The error did not, in any way, effect the validity nor functionality of the clone.

I contacted the developer who asked me to send the error log. Shortly after sending the log I was sent a modified copy of CCC to try as the error was so obscure that the developer could not reproduce it. The modified copy worked error free. I notified the developer and the modification has been incorporated into version 3.2.

One cannot receive better response and service than I received. Many developers would not have been nearly this responsive if they could not reproduce the error. I only wish that all software were as reliable as CCC, and that all developers were this responsive. How can one ask for more.
