Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

With security concerns in mind, I'm wondering - What exactly does this product do? I can't find any details on the developers website or here at VersionTracker.com. Apparently, it "allws you to make certain changes that other such applications do not." Combine the lack of adequate information with this phrase "you must have an administrator account on the system you are running myMac on", and I'm a bit hesitant to download or try this application. Does VersionTracker.com/CNET perform any type of security audit/testing on the software that they provide download access to?

I'm not trying to 'pick on' this developer or this software in particular, but it seems to me that some of the software made available has a very limited set of release notes, and VersionTracker.com/CNET must have 'some' level of responsibility when it comes to making this software available.
