Despite the axe that another reviewer has to grind, this is an excellent web development tool. I have used it on four different sites now and it is effective, stable and produces the results that it advertises.

I'm not going to quibble with the calibration of the statistics it reports. I build very heavy, image loaded, visual and large websites. WebCrusher's algorithms for optimizing jpgs and pngs is nothing short of remarkable. Once optimized, my sites load as fast as a speeding bullet and are very stable.

It's preferences panel has a very easy GUI so you can toggle what you want crushed or not. You can also vary the degree in which images are reduced and it gives a preview of what it might look like. The final report after optimization is very thorough.

I give this software high recommendation. BTW, the support is timely and very responsive.
